Dr. Joseph Laya O.D. is a TPA Certified Optometrist certified in the examination, diagnosis and medical treatment of vision correction and ocular disease, including glaucoma. Dr. Laya grew up in Sheridan, Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming. Dr. Laya then attended Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California. He graduated from SCC in 1984. Dr. Laya practiced in Southern California with a corneal specialist group prior to moving to the Redding area in 1990.
Dr. Laya has training in Ocular Disease, Pediatrics, Contact Lenses, Geriatrics and Low Vision. He had been optometric advisor to Cole Vision Corporation and has achieved numerous optical and professional awards. Dr. Laya takes pride in providing patients with the best vision possible. He will take the time to assess your vision care needs and will provide you with excellent optometric care.
